How about some of Savannah's finest local music to enhance your environmental stewardship? In keeping with our overall community-driven vibe this year, we've decided to highlight some of the most popular bands from Savannah and, in turn, give them the chance to break in Forsyth Park's beautiful new band shell! Here's the lineup:
11:00am-11:45am
Lauren Lapointe-Savannah GA-based singer/songwriter Lauren Lapointe has been gaining recognition across the country for her soulful songs, unique voice, and strong live performances. She's also well-versed in environmental issues and has a variety of songs showcasing her passion for nature.
1145am-12:15pm YFACE Fashion Show!
Our good friends with Youth For A Cleaner Environment are putting together a preview fashion show! The students have crafted some innovative outfits with recycled materials so come cheer them on the main stage as they parade their stewardship!
12:30pm-1:45pm
The Train Wrecks-a quartet of rockabilly talent that packs a punch at every venue they play! You can catch them on Tybee or River Street from time to time and they are ALWAYS playing to a full house. We're lucky to have plenty of room as this band is sure to bring out the fans, even if they're playing before 10pm!
2:30pm-3:45pm
Eric Culberson Blues Band-A blues force to be reckoned with, the Eric Culberson Blues Band continues to knock Savannah's socks off at the Blues and BBQ Festival, Jazz Festival, and can be caught at the Mercury Lounge regularly. Eric himself is no stranger to environmental advocacy; he has starred alongside our local Legend, Less Waters the Running Toilet, in a few water conservation commercials. Hopefully we can reconnect these two celebrities at the Festival!
